I'm a newbie, yet need a real help 2 upgrade my phone.. :)

My name is Rey..
I'm from indonesia n dis is my 1st post in this forum..hehe

so,i would like to introduce my phone 1st..
i got my Corby2 when i had my birthday..
since it's given by my parents, i think u guys know how precious it is..
haha

soo..
here is the case..
like i've said before i want to upgrade my Corby2 phone, or exactly, updating it's firmware..

1. what changes are happened after updating d firmware?
2. when i text *#1234#, it's told me my SW ver is S3850DXKC3
and it's CSC ver is S3850OLBKC3..what r these mean anyway?
3. 4 updating my firmware, please tell me all the requirements needed, d video-tutorial(s), applications, n other stuffs to prevent failing updating mine..just tell me anything, i really dont want my Corby is harmed by my mistakes and maybe bcos d requirements is uncomplete..
4. please tell me the risks of doing this, and the faqs or other-helpful-things so i can minimize the trouble when updating it..
5. i really need help guys, coz i want 2optimize my Corby2..so it can functionally outstanding than any other recent java phones..

the answer is :

1. if you upgrade to european firmware, it will add 2 new apps on menu and some new 'demo' games
2. the S3850DXKC3 mean that is asian firmware .. or you can go to samfirmware.com to learn about that..
3. 1st thing u need to install kies.. download it here http://www.samsung.com/ca/support/mobilesoftwaremanual/mobilesoftwaremanual.do?page=MOBILE.SOFTWARE.MANUAL pick download kies (windows)if you use mac os choose (mac) and if need u update the kies .. then samsung usb cable and also your corby 2 .. then follow this vid from admin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlR9r9ru62o .. follow it carefully before that u need the multiloader and the firmware from samfirmware.com .. then make your corby into download mode juz watch this vid (credit for admin) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_qBbkK9CaU
4. the risk is on your own .. if you think it is hard to do juz send it to samsung center to upgrade your firmware :p
5. the main thing is, juz make yourself read any forum in the world about this phone . and someday who know you will become a modders
